THE ULTIMATE CHECKLIST FOR TRAVELING ABROAD

     Skypass Travel

International Travel can be overwhelming , and a memorable adventure is best planned ahead of time. It is imperative to ensure that your health, safety and financial necessities are taken care of, so use the checklist below before embarking on your next journey abroad.

1. Safety First

Stay up to date on travel restrictions and advisories by subscribing to the State Department’s STEP alerts for your destination. Please click here for more information on how to sign up for this program.

2. Travel Insurance

A little goes a long way with Travel Insurance. Being insured can potentially save you hundreds or thousands of dollars in the event of an unexpected emergency. Click here for more information on the benefits of Travel Insurance. Skypass offers a range of Travel Protection products which can be purchased at the time you make reservations to provide peace of mind when traveling abroad.

3. Travel Documents

Make sure your passports and visas are in order. It is important to keep both physical and digital copies of your passport and travel paperwork.

4. Credit Cards

Notify your bank and credit card companies about your travel dates so that your purchases aren’t denied. Make sure you are in the know about foreign transaction fees and international ATM fees, and don’t hesitate to carry more than one credit card, just in case one doesn’t work.

5. Vaccinations

It is important to know whether or not the destination you are traveling to requires vaccinations. Keep your vaccination certificate in your carry-on in case customs requires you to present it in order to enter the country.

6. Pack these essentials in your carry-on bag:

  • Passport & visa

  • Medications

  • Insurance & ID cards

  • Cash, debit cards, credit cards

  • Earplugs & eye mask

  • Electrical converters if needed, depending on your destination

  • Antibacterial wipes

  • A sweater or scarf in case the plane is chilly

  • Cell phone & charger
